Meet the Architects
Nido Spitalfields, Barcelona and future projects

Founded in 1921 by Sir Thomas Bennett, tp bennett is a leading architectural design practice working internationally for a wide spectrum of private and public sector clients.
tp bennett has three core divisions of architecture, interiors and planning supported by specialist practice areas in strategy, research and graphics. The combined expertise of the practice is applied to all projects in an environment of collaborative design. Our constant pursuit of excellence has been rewarded over the years by numerous design awards and the Grade II listing of some of our buildings.
We believe that one solution rarely fits all; therefore our architecture is not defined by a pre-determined style but rather by an approach that embraces diversity, allows individual expression and ensures that design solutions are environmentally responsive and appropriate to context, brief, culture and climate. The simple resolution of light, space and materials are the core values of our approach ensuring dynamic and progressive architecture.
Nido Spitalfields has been designed to provide modern, friendly and safe student community in the middle of the city. The building will offer a great variety of rooms and exciting ‘hang out’ spaces designed to make life in Nido fun and enjoyable.

Allford Hall Monaghan Morris began in 1989 to make architecture that is beautiful to look at and satisfying to use. AHMM design very different buildings, for very different people to use in very different ways. Although each project has the individual specificity that comes from particular needs and particular places and time, it is equally important that there is an underlying consistency which comes from the thorough exploration of continuously developing ideas.
AHMM’s success is reflected in the winning of many competitions and numerous design awards for houses, apartments, schools, sports and exhibition buildings, healthcare facilities, offices, schools, the odd bus station or art gallery and interesting hybrids of many of the above.
The AHMM team are: Simon Allford, Philip Turner, Jon Brent, Sam Harvey, Timothy Neville-Lee, Andrew O’Donnell, Marian Ripoll, Gesa Schenk, Nick Searle.
Work on KX200 began in May 2005, and required the AHMM team to re-think the traditional model of student accommodation.
