Members of Residence Management Staff

Nido goes to great lengths to hire the best and brightest. We have an experienced Residence Management team in place as well as our Resident Life Staff who are on call 24/7 to assist in any way possible and to help organise events to allow you to get to know others in the building.

Nikolina Camaj is the Residence Manager at Nido King's Cross. She is responsible for the development of the student experience within Nido as well as overseeing the areas of student well being and pastoral care.

She began her Student Affairs career in Residence Life as a Resident Assistant in 1999. Born in Zagreb, Croatia, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education: Geography and Mathematics from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan (USA) in 2001. While working on her degree, she student taught Australian Geography and
Aboriginal Cultures at Governor Sterling Senior High School in Perth, Australia.

She went on to earn her Masters of Education in Counseling specializing in Student Affairs and Administration degree in 2003 at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina (USA) where she worked as a Resident Director for two years managing three buildings with 450 students.

In 2004, she became a Hall Director at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in Carbondale, Illinois where she managed a tower of 800 freshmen, and founded and chaired the Global Fusion Committee which implemented programming on social justice and global awareness issues.

The last two years she spent in New York City at The New School as a Residence Hall Director in June of 2005 and then began work as a Resident Counselor at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2006 where she co-managed a building of 1100 students. While at FIT she worked on the Student and Parent Orientation programs and co-planned the 'Be Green
Week: Global Awareness and Education Week' activities.
