Joining Nido is about being one of the 1045 young locals

Joining Nido is also about being one of the 1045 young locals. It’s up to you all to make life what you want it to be – transform the Communal Area together, get everyone out on a trip, or just screen a favourite movie. And if you’re ever at a loss for what to do, the Resident Assistants will be keeping you in touch with local events, as well as organising their own activities.

Communal Space

Your home here doesn’t stop at your front door. As a Nido Local you can hang out in all the communal spaces. At the centre is the Communal Space, a place for Locals to meet, chat, and use for what they want – showcasing art, degree show exhibitions, it’s up to you. If you’re feeling active there’s the fitness centre, or if that’s all too much there’s the Nido Café and Screening Room, as well as places to relax in the outdoor courtyard.

In-House Events

The Resident Assistants organise whole Nido community events, such as International Movie nights, pizza parties, and… trips around London and beyond. Or you could go ice skating at Somerset House, shopping at Portobello Market, or take a trip to Canterbury. Some activities are free, some carry a nominal charge, all are days and nights to remember.

Local Events

Living in the heart of London, there’s always something going on which will spark your interest. To help you keep track, RAs will post up listings of events going on in London, and specifically in the Nido Neighbourhood.
